This chainguard-mounted 22B brake stop switch is found on many unit-construction Triumph twin-cylinder models, as well as some BSA A7 and A10 models from the late 1950s. The new reproduction genuine Lucas sliding switch is designed to be mounted on the chainguard and provides an authentic look when fitted. Power to the switch is fed from two wires in the wiring harness. The slider is activated when the brake pedal is depressed and the linkage pulls on the spring, switching on the rear brake light bulb. Mounting bolts are pre-fitted to the chainguard from the inside of the guard to form as mounting studs for the brake switch.
