New production bulb holder for the 1950s-era BSA and Triumph single cylinder models specified with Lucas MC575 and MCF575P light units. Accepts 312 and 425 6 volt bulbs with the BPF base. Genuine Lucas reproduction bulb holder adaptor is supplied from Wassell in the UK. The dual-contact adaptor was also used in agricultural and automotive applications in the 1950s. The adaptor is fitted to the glass reflector unit to secure the headlamp bulb. The bulb is placed into the receptacle of the glass reflector, then the adaptor is placed over the receptacle and rotated clockwise to lock the assembly in place. The wire leads are connected to the adaptor using sleeve terminal connectors.
