Original points ignition and analog-type electronic ignition systems for vintage British motorcycles are compatible with non-suppressor caps for the high tension leads. This type of cap can be fitted to conventional 7mm spark plug wires. Supplied with rubber boots for waterproof connections. Recommended for use with magneto ignitions. Suitable as an NGK equivalent, the body of the genuine Lucas spark plug cap is made of hard black plastic resin similar to “Bakelight” and features a 90 degree elbow embossed with the Lucas logo. Suitable for coil ignition systems. The spark plug cap is the nexus between the high tension lead and the spark plug. A solid and corrosion-free connection between the ignition coil and spark plug is key to having consistent spark at the spark. The high tension wire boot is first slid on over the wire, then the end of the wire is screwed into the receptacle of the cap until fully seated.
