What is this drawer suitable for? These aluminium drawers are ideal for use in campers and commercial vehicles. Many campers are divided into two levels when viewed from the rear; halfway up the bed and a storage compartment underneath. Items are pushed into the hole in front of each other and if you need something, there is a chance that you will have to dig to get it. Many of our customers therefore want to install one or two large drawers on the bottom between the wheel arches, with which they can pull out a large loaded surface. This gives them easy access to all items and they never have to crawl into the low compartment to get to the rear supplies. Furthermore, large drawers are often needed in commercial vehicles for tools or parts. Almost all of our 250kg drawer runners with lock are used in vehicles. The lock and high load capacity also make them extremely suitable for this. Until recently, you could only purchase drawer runners from us and the customer had to make a drawer themselves. This takes a lot of time and it is difficult to make a large drawer that can be heavily loaded. You also need certain machines and materials for strong connections, which the average handyman does not have at home. To help these customers, we have developed a series of drawers, to which this one belongs. The drawer is made entirely of thick aluminium. This is a very expensive choice of material, but offers great advantages. For example, the drawer has a relatively low net weight and is very strong. A combination that cannot be achieved to such an extent with wood. The lifespan is also many times longer, because it cannot rust or rot. Nevertheless, wood (or steel) is often still chosen, because it is easy to work with and much cheaper. Two points that we agree with, but for which we have found a solution. As a specialist, we take care of the processing. The aluminum drawer that you receive will be completely finished. Nothing more needs to be drilled or processed. The drawer contains hole patterns on both sides that correspond to those of the drawer runners that can be added separately to the shopping cart. Using the supplied fasteners, you can easily and quickly attach the runners to the sides. You’ll be done in a few seconds. We also use extremely competitive prices that make it worth considering. We achieve this by turning volumes, doing a lot ourselves and keeping the margins small. In summary, we are talking about a high-quality product for a very good price. This ready-made drawer will save you a lot of trouble! What does this drawer consist of? This product includes the aluminum drawer, sleeve nuts and bolts. The drawer fits on our 250kg drawer runners, which we have in two versions; WITH and WITHOUT lock. The drawer runners can be mounted perpendicular to the bottom using our optional mounting brackets. You can of course also screw the drawer with drawer runners between two side walls. Then you do not need the brackets. However, you do make it a bit more difficult for yourself, because the side walls must be at a certain distance from each other in order to obtain a properly functioning system. If the drawer runners are pushed together in the (19.1 mm) thickness direction, this negatively affects the smoothness of the movement. This is not the case if you use our mounting brackets. You can first screw these brackets to the drawer runners, after which you place the whole thing on the surface. All parts are then already between the brackets, so that they are attached to the drawer runners at an ideal distance from each other. You can then screw the brackets to the surface. Ideal! Other accessories are our drawer dividers and decorative corners. You can place an unlimited number of drawer dividers in the drawer. You can position one drawer divider in the drawer using T-connectors. The decorative corners have the same appearance as the T-connectors, so you can use them to match the front and back of the drawer with the center. Custom drawer? If you want a black drawer, you should take into account 2 extra weeks. How far does this drawer slide out? If you use our 250kg 1000mm drawer runners, the drawer slides out no less than 1016mm. This means that it comes completely outside the casing. If you choose our lockable drawer runners, the movement is locked in both closed and fully open positions. You then have to turn the levers of the runners to be able to move the drawer. How much weight can this drawer carry? The limiting factor is not the drawer, but the drawer runners. Taking into account the deduction of the drawer’s own weight, we can say that the assembly may be filled with an average of 240 kg. If the weight is only placed deep in the drawer, this assembly can carry approximately 275 kg. The maximum point load at the front of the drawer is around 165 kg. It therefore benefits the drawer runners if you position heavy items at the back of the drawer. The bulkheads can be used to ensure that they do not slide forward unintentionally, for example in a moving vehicle.
