What is a ball recirculation guide? A ball recirculation guide is a linear profile guide in which a carriage moves silently over a rail with the aid of balls. This movement is extremely precise and without play. Compared to traditional sliding guides, the friction is 50x smaller. Because profile rail guides involve forced guidance of the carriage on the rail, this construction can absorb forces from multiple sides, making the combination applicable both vertically and horizontally. Never simply slide a carriage off a rail. The balls fall out and pushing them back is easier said than done. If it is really necessary to remove the carriage, you can place a second rail, lengthwise, against the rail with carriage and slide the carriage from one rail to the other. You can also use a plastic attachment. Every carriage that can be ordered separately is equipped with this. You can slide a carriage from rail to attachment and vice versa. We cannot supply the attachments separately. Our ball bearing guides are equipped with four rows of balls, which are positioned in relation to the rail in such a way that the combination can absorb forces and moments from all sides. The size of these forces and moments is shown schematically in the last image. We have made a distinction between one carriage and two carriages placed against each other on rail. Furthermore, all relevant dimensions are drawn. Our carriages are equipped with a flange, which gives them long threaded holes and a large bearing surface. In addition, each carriage is equipped with seals (oil seals) that slide over the rail in front of the carriage and prevent internal contamination. Each carriage also has a grease nipple.
